My intent as a private teacher is actually to create in my scholars a thorough perception and self-assurance at tests and having the ability to deal with unexplored problems. The base of my theory is the belief that learning takes place in an area of reciprocal trust wherein the student is stimulated to think and establish connections for themselves. According to my practical experience one-to-one personal tuition has a unique sense to scholars through the option to resolve the scholars' own barriers to learning in a way that lays the foundations for a thorough and lengthy comprehension of the theme.
Analytic thinking
My approach varies depending on the student's learning style and needs. My teaching philosophy is built upon inspiring students to think on their own, employing existing situations whenever possible. |My opinion is that it is crucial to supply students with a working skills and to teach them problem-solving skill-sets for building upon this knowledge. Directing a person to think critically is at the base of things that a person must intercept from any subject course.
The role of mentoring
The most durable contributions a teacher can bring in is mentoring children, and it is a process, which I find pleasurable and beneficial. From my practice, I found out the effect of involving learners with the help of patterns and of delivering content at a level which implies perception but not necessarily knowledge, mixing the unknown with the known as a synthesis which delivers the person the disposition of likelihood instead of that one of impossibility that impressive and authoritative methods can inflict.
Using a lot of practising
I begin with themes the students are familiar with and move regularly to more complicated areas as long as their peace of mind is being built. I apply questions and examples to test perceiving constantly. I don't ever lecture to students or tell them to remember information. Neither do I do the scholars' assignments for them!
I basically focus on test-style or previous paper questions to inspect, work at and perfect the child's understanding and capacity. I even give a lot of importance to many of the less evident but necessary skills for instance, essay structure and technique, logical thought, and the helpful use of numbers and graphs.
